Any hospital stay can involve adjustments and changes to your normal routine. Whether you need an urgent or planned stay in hospital it can be a difficult time. A minor procedure may involve travel, preparation and some follow on care at home where as another procedure may involve more serious surgical intervention that requires additional recovery time.

Staffing Plus are happy to help you in your preparations for a hospital stay and create a suitable plan of care and support from the outset. Sometimes this may be caring for another family member at home while you go into hospital, keeping a check on your home while you’re away, looking after a much loved pet that you need to know is in safe hands to providing a full support plan for you from preparation for your hospital stay to post surgery care.
Following discharge from Hospital your medical team will have discussed a discharge plan and recommended appropriate care at home. You may have a hospital at home service or another support package in place, but, if you require additional support our fully trained care team would be happy to come out and visit you to discuss your needs more fully. Dependent upon your needs, preferences and wishes we can provide both flexible care visits, respite or live in support. Our care team is dedicated to your wellbeing and to supporting you or your loved ones in all aspects of your life.
Our nurse led team will always work in line with your medical team’s recommendations and doctors instructions. This is vital to your recovery and general wellbeing. Our qualified nurses and care staff are trained to work alongside other health care professionals such as district nurses, occupational therapists or physiotherapists to ensure your recovery is as positive as expected.
Our nursing team have a wide and extensive experience in both the NHS and private sector. When our clinical assessors come out to meet you they will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
We fully understand and appreciate how it feels when considering home care of any kind. There may be a real sense of relinquishing your independence, even if for a short time. Our staff understand the importance of respecting a client’s privacy and fully appreciate that they are a guest in your home during the duration of their visits.
We place our clients at the centre of all we do and understand when it is time to take a step back and allow our clients their valuable time and space. The support we offer is always person centred and we will always encourage and support your post-operative care to enable as quick a return to your pre surgery level of independence.
When you contact Staffing Plus we will ask you for a few details such as your name, contact number and e mail address. We would like to hear about your current situation or about a loved one that you are calling about. Once we have this information we can ensure one of our lead assessor’s contact you directly and arrange a suitable time to meet.
Staffing Plus has a team of staff who are fully vetted and pass through a robust recruitment procedure. You will not have to worry about dealing with any administrative issues as we take care of all these procedures. Our priority is to ensure you are happy with the carers that support you, whether that is for a few hours a week to a full live in care package.
When our assessor comes out to meet you they will ask you a few questions about yourself or your loved one. Those questions may be about the person’s medical history and current health status, about your personal care needs, mobility needs, your current medication or treatment plans and about your night care needs. It would also be helpful to know a little more about you or your loved ones as an individual. For example; what is their job, or , where did they work before retirement, what are their hobbies and pastimes, what do they enjoy doing and maybe a little information about their families. We are all unique individuals and one size does not fit all, it’s very important to get to know the clients we support as one care intervention for an individual may be entirely different to the package of care when supporting another.
"The care which Staffing Plus offers ranges from someone just popping in to check on Mum to complete live- in care. Their support is tailor made to suit the needs of the client"
